Social Responsibility activities:
As a part of the noble responsibility towards society, opted for and selected a female child hailing from a very poor family from a very tender age for the purpose of her career development.  Providing  proper schooling and meeting all her requirements (from Junior KG to now in Class VI) ab-initio involving lakhs of rupees. The process will be continued in future as well. Now inspired by “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” programme of our honourable Prime Minister, the girl, Ms. Vennela, is being taken to various social welfare programmes in Hyderabad, one of her recent attendance was at a programme organized by the Brahmakumaris at Hyderabad at which she was introduced to Dr. Anthony  Raju, Global Chairman, AICHLS.  Actively participating in PM’s pet project “Beti Bachao .. Beti Padhao programme to a greater extent.

PARA NO 1
Welfare activities undertaken during the service in Reserve Bank of India; outside working hours

Associated with several service activities like (a) organizing blood donation camps during holidays (b) helping poor patients both psychologically and financially (c) guiding needy RBI employees and others for proper medical treatments (d) facilitating lectures on health issues in the RBI and elsewhere (e) arranging street lights for Methodist Colony (f) uniting the residents of colony for improving the roads and surroundings by shramdan on Sundays and holidays (g) planting of more than 300 saplings in the colony to ensure greenary  (h) liasoning with Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation for improving the condition of parks in the colony (i) donating a public telephone booth to a physically handicapped person who is now leading a respectful life, etc. to name a few.
Nominated as Persona of the Year 2007 by the Reserve Bank of India for the Welfare activities undertaken (discussed in para 4)

Association with several service organisations
  • In the past three decades, associated with several service oriented organizations. Strived and succeeded for getting grants from CM’s Relief fund for helping the poor patients seeking assistance from blood banks/corporate hospitals.
  • Associated with LV Prasad Eye Institute/Sadhu Ram Eye Hospital for convincing donors for eye donations, participating in various cardiac screening camps/cateract screening camps with the help of cardiac thoracic department of Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad.
  • Associated with Rajiv Arogya Sri Scheme for a period of three years from 2009 – 2011 after retirement from RBI.
  • In a unique case, greatly involved in the treatment involving implantation of artificial limb for a baby of 11 years whose right hand was entrapped in a lift in Mumbai. Held regular correspondence with international Lions Clubs and other organizations in Los Angeles, USA and succeeded in getting treatment to her in 2000 and 2006 at Shriners Hospital at Los Angeles, USA. The baby is doing fine now after implantation of artificial limb.
  • Associated with Lions’ Oncology Block Radiotheraphy (NIMMS) fro the year 2012 till date.
  • During the period 1995-96, nominated by the District Collector, Ranga Reddy district as a member of a National Programme for controlling blindness; a Central Government programme with the World Bank Aid.
  • Obtained a Life Membership in Indian Red Cross Society and undertaken several humane activities.
  • A member of Lions Club International for the past 27 years and continuing (since 1991)
  • Served as the Vice President in the Reserve Bank of India for ten years and as a Director of RBI Employees Co-op Credit Society for five years during the tenure in RBI
  • Associated with mentally retarded Trust (Krishna Teja foundation) for mentally retarded persons at AS Rao Nagar, Secunderabad since May 2014.
  • Appointed as Vice President, Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee in February 2014.
  • Served as Secretary, Methodist Colony Welfare Association (MCWA) during 1994-96 and later undertook an active role as a co-ordinator on behalf of the Association.
  • Associated with Local Bodies of the Government in getting pensions for deserving widows and poor people in the society. Actively involved in Haritha programme of Telangana Government from 2015.
  • Associated with CAMBA (Carnial Andhatav Mukt Bharat Abhiyan), a Central Government programme linking all State Government NGOs, Lions Clubs (linking all Lions’ Club hospitals) from June 2017 and co-ordinating with Vasan Eye Care for creating awareness about eye donations and eradication of blindness in the country. Participated in an umpteen number of activities undertaken by the Project in Telangana state.

Member and Welfare Facilitator for the past 27 years; undertaking several public welfare activities. Some of the important activities are (a) spreading Financial Literacy to class VIII to IX students in various government schools and also Gram Panchayats for the last several years (b) visiting old age homes to take stock of their problems and also apprising them about the precautions for their health problems (c) participated in several health camps conducted by the Lions’ Club International, Hyderabad and awarded by the International Director for making sincere efforts to minimize global warming (d) taking up deserving health cases with the Government for reference to Nizams’ Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad and also getting the relief from the CM’s Relief Fund. (e) donated huge sums for welfare activities undertaken by the Lions’ Club, etc. to name a few

  • Presently actively involved in spreading the Financial Literacy in various schools/organizations in the twin cities of Hyderabad/secunderabad
  • Organising several Health camps / Eye screening camps for the benefit of poor people in the society
  • Actively involved in popularizing Swatch Bharat Campaign not only in Methodist colony (our colony) but also at Railway Stations and its surroundings located at Begumpet, Secunderabad, etc.  
  • Spreading awareness in the campaign to eradicate mosquitoes in Hyderabad; a mission undertaken by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. Involved in distribution of posters on “HOW TO PREVENT DENGUE” in twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
  • Co-ordinating with GHMC for minimizing the mosquito menace leading to Dengue fever in the colonies.
  • Co-ordinated with Lions Club International and Dr. Chiraq, Senior Medical Officer at World Health Organisation (WHO) and his team for conducting Rubella vaccine camps in schools of Hyderabad city and other outreach programmes
